Cleveland, OH-based living room tinkerer The National Park Service has been quietly releasing great music since 2011 at a pace that's impressive to say the least (last I checked there were 15 or so releases on his bandcamp page), but apart from last year's collaborative and split releases with Squanto, I Was Flying is his first album to be given the proper physical release it deserves. It's just in time, too - I Was Flying is perfect autumn music, full of warm guitar loops that shift and settle like leaves making their way towards the ground. Put it in your walkman and take it for a walk through the park with a cup of coffee.
The seventh official release from Lily Tapes & Discs. Released in an edition of 50 pro-dubbed chrome tapes. Packaged with full-color j-cards, numbered and assembled by hand here at LTD Headquarters.
